Back in 2008, we took our first and only cruise. We went on a Carnival Cruise and it really was such a completely different vacation than anything we had ever taken.
We enjoyed the never-ending food options as well as the wide array of activities and entertainment.
On the ship, there was always something to do from watching ice carving demonstrations to musicals and even a nightly on deck movies, we were definitely never bored.
Off the ship we had the chance to visit Caribbean Islands where we could relax on the beach all day or shop and tour the local towns and villages.
One of our favorite parts of the cruise was the gorgeous sunsets. Nearly every night the ship’s rails would be lined with passengers, cameras in hand, ready to take a shot of the brilliant sunset. Here’s one of ours:
We enjoyed our time on our cruise and hope to go again someday soon.

We took a cruise about 14 years ago. I would love to take another one someday. Boyh my husban and I have always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise. We had a friend that took one and said it was the best trip of his life. It’s on our bucket list.
How fun! I’ve never been on Carnival, but I took a cruise to Alaska once that was amazing.

I want to take a cruise so badly! I usually prefer a more ‘hands-on’ (for lack of a better term) vacation, but I love the idea of just relaxing and having everything I need or want right there…in the middle of the ocean! Awesome.

A great way to see Alaska is a 7-day Vancouver to Seward cruise, then take the train to Anchorage or beyond. We rented a car in Anchorage to give us more freedom.
