This time of year is perfect for planning a family getaway. I hit the internet looking for the fantastic family vacations that are affordable as well. There are so many wonderful options out there that sometimes it’s hard to choose. I recently came across the destinations and packages below. All are at the top of our list and we hope to travel to each sometime in the next year or two.
Jean Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort
The Jean Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort is an all-inclusive resort that’s a family favorite for kids and parents. The Bula Club, which operates daily, offers complimentary children’s programs which allow adults to have some time on their own or they can join them for excursions and activities. The club has it’s own pools, clubhouse, and dining area and the resort assigns a dedicated nanny to each child age 0 to 5.
There is enough to do in this gorgeous location to keep the whole family busy. The resort offer’s a world-renowned dive program and the onsite marine biologist leads snorkeling trips in a glass bottom boat. Doesn’t that sound so fun?!
Also available to guests are complimentary kayaks, catarmarans, and snorkeling equiment. Fishing trips can also be arranged. On land activities include tennis, volleyball, table tennis, board games, daily yoga, and waterfall hikes.
The cultural experience of a trip to Fiji can’t be missed. The resort also provides a range of complimentary cultural, educational, and recreational activities that feature the best of Fiji. Guests may try coconut palm frond basket weaving one day and go on a trip to the local farmer’s market, the next.
On top of all that, the Jean Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort offers top of the line cuisine utilizing fresh produce from it’s organic garden. And the chef will also cook a guest’s fish catch for dinner or prepare it as sashimi! How neat is that?!
