If you’re in the Cleveland area during the holiday season and looking to get some wish list shopping done while enjoying holiday entertainment, then a visit to the I-X Center’s Christmas Connection is a must.

We recently attended the Christmas Connection and I was amazed at what a fun and festive event it was! It filled us with holiday spirit from the minute we came through the doors.

We were greeted by an incredible 30-foot Santa from Blain Kerns Studios in New Orleans. When we went to New Orleans a few years ago we toured the Blain Kerns Studios and got a behind-the-scenes look at some of their Mardi Gras floats. So I was very excited to see this Santa and he didn’t disappoint. He was amazing!

SantaAfter handing over tickets we walked through a winter wonderland where we enjoyed viewing various holiday scenes, including penguins, snowmen, and decorated houses.

We also love that it was lightly snowing too! The snow was actually tiny soap bubbles that had such a beautiful floating effect it really felt as if it were snowing and the pretty lighted snowflakes on the floor completed the effect.

IX Center Christmas ConnectionAfter walking through winter wonderland we stepped into the expo hall which was filled with over 500 vendors! From arts and crafts, to gourmet foods and warm drinks, from beautiful jewelry to fun toys and creative holiday decorations there really was something for everyone.

IX Christmas ConnectionWe enjoyed walking up and down all of the aisles and visiting every booth. We brought Kora and Logan with us and they enjoyed looking at the toys and Christmas decorations. While the adults could have shopped all day, the kids did have their fill after an hour or two.

That’s why we were all excited to get the chance to stop by Santa Land for a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Then we visited the model trains and the Wilson Bros. Miniature Circus. We all thought they were fascinating!

Miniature CircusWe then hopped on the giant ferris wheel and the kids went for a ride on the carousel.

We wrapped it up with a stop at the concert stage for a live performance of holiday music and a stop into Gingerbread Lane where Kora and Logan decorated their own cookies and then ate them!

The I-X Center’s Christmas Connection was a wonderful event and one we are excited to add to our holiday traditions. I’m already excited to attend again next year!

Tickets were provided. No compensation was received. The honest opinions are my own and those of my family.
