A View From The Window Seat

AirplaneI took the photo above while flying down to Louisville this year. It’s one of my favorite photos. I love how the clouds remind me of a beautiful calm ocean.

When flying I always try to get the window seat, unless I’m with the kids.  Flying is just incredible to me. Being so high up, in and above the clouds, is just breath-taking. And the clouds are amazing too. They can look like big puffy white marshmallows or they can be as flat as a field.

When there are no clouds I love looking at the land and watching the cars, roads, and houses for as long as I can. When they become too small it’s fun to look at the farms, lakes, and wooded areas that make up the landscape and wondering where exactly we are flying over.

I’d love to have a in-flight gps some day so we could follow the plane along and see what cities and states we are flying over.

The window seat has so much to offer, not only are the views amazing and even awe-inspiring at times, it’s also great for resting your head against when you need a little shut-eye too.

What about you? Do you prefer the window seat, aisle, or middle seat?

  1. The window seat is my choice! Seeing the clouds is an amazing sight!

If the airline keeps their word, I am usually sat up front in Bulk Head with my Service Dog. She is a Labrador retriever. Then I try to take the window seat. I don’t care to look out, but that way when everyone boards the plane they don’t bend down and try to pet her or talk to her. I also prefer the window seat because it is good headrest to sleep with. But I am not picky, unless you stick me in the center…the I get my elbows out and claim the armrests!

  3. nice view!
